W. Andrew McLauchlin (FCIArb) specializes in arbitration, mediation and construction litigation. He has practiced exclusively in the area of construction law since he was called to the Bar in 1975. In 2013, Andy earned his Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and shortly thereafter became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Andy is an Inaugural Fellow and Governor and Past President (2010-2011) of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers. He is a former lecturer at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Engineering. He is a member of the teaching faculty of the Construction Education Council and the University of Waterloo. He is a frequent speaker at professional and industry organizations and author of numerous publications.

Andy is recognized, nationally and internationally, as a leading lawyer in the area of Construction Law. Andy is recognized in The Lexpert/ALM Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada, and The Best Lawyers in Canada. In 2014, Andy was recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada as Lawyer of the Year – Construction – Toronto, 2014. He has been recognized in the International Who’s Who of Construction Lawyers and is also certified by The Law Society of Upper Canada as a Certified Specialist in Construction Law.
